||The objective of this independent study was to study the attitudes of higher diplomavocational students towards entrepreneurship in Amphoe Mueang, Changwat Chiang Mai.The data was collected from questionnaires distributed to 303 samples who were second yearstudents working towards higher vocational diplomas in Business Administration, Accounting,Marketing, and Business Computer in 5 private institutions in Amphoe Mueang, ChangwatChiang Mai. The results of the study were as follows. The majority of the respondents were female of 20 years old. The occupation of theirparents/guardians were agriculture. Most of the respondents had experience in working tosupport themselves, and most worked as an employee. Their attitudes towards entrepreneurship were as follows. It was found that 53.5% of therespondents had an overall knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship, 35.2% werenot sure, and 11.3% did not know. Their awareness that entrepreneurship could solve unemployment problem was ranked in the first factor. In their attitudes towards becoming entrepreneurs, it was found that the respondents'agreement ranked overall at a high level. They thought entrepreneurs' should be patient towardhard working than employees. In behavior or tendency towards becoming entrepreneurs, 50.5% of the respondents were not sure if they would become entrepreneurs after their graduation. In this group, they ranked the highest reason due to their lack of experience and they had the opinion that the most interesting job was working in a company. Only 13.2% of the respondents were interested in pursuing entrepreneurship after their graduation. In this group, they ranked the highest reason due to the of entrepreneurship not depent on other person . In addition, the respondents thought the factors which influenced the tendency towards becoming entrepreneurs which ranked at an average high level of agreement were family, relatives, and friends. They thought the most important subject for entrepreneurs was finance. They agreed at a high level that educational institutions should improve student's internship program and also develop the Accounting curriculum at the first priority in order to reach the success in becoming entrepreneurs.
