บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย :

The purposes of this research were to study causes of conflict and conflict management styles of the primary school principals under the Suphan Buri Primary Education Office

to find out relationship between causes of conflict and educational background, administrative experience, and school size

and to compare conflict management styles and educational background, administrative experience, and school size. The research procedure was undertaken by surveying opinions of 406 primarh school principals under the Suphan buri Primary Education Office. The instrument used was the 5 - point - scale questionnaire, consistiry of 3 parts : Part 1 on status of principals

Part 2 on caures of conflict in primary schools

3 as/ects with 5 items each and reliability of 0.85

and Part 3 on conflict management of primary school principals in 5 method and reliability of 0.76. The statistics used for analyzing data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F - test and Chi - square test. The main research findings were summerized as follows :- 1. The primary school principals under the Suphan Buti Primary Education Office had causes of conflict in all individual aspect and items at a low level

and personal factor aspect was the causes of conflict more than other aspects, and especially emphasized working style of personel. 2. The primary school principals under the Suphan buri Primary Education Office has conflict management styles from high to low in order of compromising confrinting smoothing avoiding and forcing respectively. 3. The primary school principals under the Suphan Buri Primary Education Office had no relationship between causes of coflict and educational background, administrative position and school size. 4. The primary school principals under the Suphan Buri Primary Education Office had no relationship between conflict management styles and educational background, administrative position and school size.
