บทคัดย่อ/คำอธิบาย :

The purpose of this study were : 1) to find out the personality and the learning styles of nursing students, 2) to find out the relationship between the six learning styles, 3) to compare the learning styles of the students in each class level between the entranced score by the Ministry of University Affair and Chiangmai University, 4) to find out the relationships between entranced score, residential environment, personality, six learning styles and academic and 5) to determine the various contributing to entrance score, residential environemnt, personality, six learning styles on academic achievement. The questionnaires were administered to 375 of the four years students in the second semester of academic year 1986-1987. The result revealed as follows :- 1. 24.06% of the students were introvert personality and 26.20% were extrovert and the others 49.74% of them were ambivert personality. 2. The students had four learning styles : dependence, collaborative, participant and independence in medium level while the competitive and avoidance of learning styles were low. 3. There were positive significant intercorrelation between the six learning styles especially collaborative and participant had the highest correlation (r = 0.6424) but the avoidance learning style was found in negative correlation with other learning styles. 4. There was statistically significant different of 5 learning styles (participant, competitive, avoidance, dependence and indepen-dence) in each class. 5. The students who entranced by the Ministry of University Affair had collaborative learning style higher, but avoidance learning style lower than the students who entranced by the Chiangmai University. 6. There were negative correlation between academic achievement score to entrance score and avoidance learning style. There were also positive correlation between residential environment, competitive, collaborative, participant and dependence learning style. There were no significant correlation between academic achievement to personality and independence learning style. Some of these variables had positive significant correlation with the academic achievement score in each class level as follows :6.1 The entrance score of the first year students.6.2 The entrance score, participant and independence learning style of the second year students.6.3 The entrance score, personality, competitive, collaborative, participant and dependence learning style of the third year students.6.4 The participant learning style of the fourth year students. 7. The statistical significant relative contributors on predicting achievement were participant learning style, entrance score and personality. When the students were studied for each class level, the best predictors academic achievement were7.1 The entrance score, avoidance learning style, personality and competitive learning style for the first year.7.2 The entrance score, independence learning style, personality, participant and collaborative learning style for the second year.7.3 The competitive and participant learning style for the third year.7.4 No of these variables for the fourth year.
